Salmon Croquette

1 can of pink salmon
1 diced onion. 
1 egg. 
1/4 cup of EACH cornmeal and flour each. 
Not combined. Each..
1 Ts of salt. Pepper and garlic powder..each.
Over medium heat, heat oil in a medium skillet. Combine canned salmon, beaten egg,  onions and 1/4 cup corn meal 1/4 cup of flour. Form into patties and dust with additional corn meal (optional). Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side. Best if you use a cast iron skillet.

  1. You don't give enough directions. What do I need the meal and for for? Do I batter it like chicken, you said not combined.

    3. .mix all ingredients together
      ..form into patties and fry in a skillet about 3 minutes per side til crispy...
      in enough oil to cover bottom of pan. until crispy on both sides- cook on one side let it get crispy then flip it

  5. I have been cooking Croquettes for years but I tried your recipe last month and My God! The best ever. As a matter of fact, I’m cooking some more tomorrow for dinner!

  6. I tried your recipe last night and they were excellent! I had one for breakfast this morning. I'll be using this recipe from now on and thank you. I think I should have made them thinner and cooked less, but they were delicious!
